Highlights

More details about the Truma electric water heater

The Truma electric water heater heats the water in your caravan or motor home quickly and keeps it hot for a long time. This allows you to wash your hands thoroughly, wash dishes and even take a long shower at any time: the high quality stainless steel container with extra-large capacity makes this possible. The Truma electric boiler consumes little electricity and operates almost silently.

The boiler is insulated with a special expanded polypropylene (EPP) foam. This lightweight material has optimum thermal insulation properties. The water temperature drops by just 1°C per hour and reheating takes next to no time, despite the size of the water tank. The stainless steel container and all other materials that come into contact with water are safe for use with drinking water.

  • Quick and easy installation
  • For pressure-resistant hot water hoses with 10 mm diameter
  • For city water systems to max. 2.8 bar (from 2.8 bar in combination with a pressure reducer)

FAQ

  • Does the Truma Boiler electric need to be sterilised and descaled?

The Truma Boiler electric should be regularly sterilised and descaled. Any standard cleaning products stocked by specialist camping retailers can be used for cleaning, sterilisation and maintenance. It is important that products are used according to manufacturer specifications in the correct dosage and with the correct exposure time.

You can also regularly heat the water in the Boiler electric to 70°C to prevent the growth of microorganisms. To do this, switch the appliance on, leave it switched on for at least 70 minutes, and do not use any hot water during this time.

You can use standard descaling products from specialist camping retailers, acetic acid or citric acid to descale the boiler.

Add the cleaning or descaling products in the recommended mixing ratio to the appliance via the water intake and allow them to work. Then flush the Truma Boiler electric as part of your water system thoroughly with fresh water.

  • How do I empty the Truma electric boiler properly?

If the caravan is not being used during the frost period, the Truma electric boiler must be drained.

    To prevent frost damage:

    • Disconnect the power to the water pump (main switch or pump switch).
    • Open hot water taps in the bathroom and kitchen.
    • Open drain valve: lever vertical, position (b).
    • The Truma electric boiler will now be drained directly to the outside via the drain valve.
    • Check whether all the water is drained (14 litres).

Remember that we do not accept warranty claims for frost damage.

  • May Truma water systems be installed in mobile homes?

    No.

Approvals for fixed buildings have changed so that Truma water systems cannot be installed in mobile homes. Our appliances are approved for recreational vehicles.

Boilers that are already installed are protected by a grandfather clause.
